Come and learn about the work of the Parents Circle - Bereaved Families Forum and co-existence projects. Beth Hamidrash Hagadol Synagogue, St Matthew's Church, and St Martin’s Church invite you to hear the incredible stories of two bereaved parents who promote reconciliation in the Middle East In March 2002, Robi Damelin’s son David was shot by a Palestinian sniper, he was 28 years old. In January 2007, Bassam Aramin's 10-year-old daughter Abir was shot by an Israeli soldier. As a result of their experiences, Robi and Bassam joined The Parents Circle – Families Forum, which is renowned for its work to promote peace and reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians. These speakers are now travelling all the way to the UK for interfaith week, and this is your chance to hear them speak on the 14th November. Location will be emailed to registered attendees a few days before the event. Book here: investinpeaceleeds.eventbrite.co.uk Date: Tuesday 14th November Time: 7:00pm - refreshments, 7:30pm - speakers and discussion For all enquiries: 020 7543 5416 BHH is proud to be supporting this event, which is not only jointly organised with the churches mentioned above, but is also a collaboration with the Leeds Jewish Representative Council and The Board of Deputies (hence the London telephone number for enquiries). I know you will be really moved by the Israeli and Palestinian speakers, who speak with great passion about their hopes for a peaceful future. Please support this event.
